Simply Stampin' Colour Challenge

Good morning,

wow, we had some fab entries for last weeks Simply Stampin' challenge, you really did pull it out the bag ladies!

This week we have a great colour combo for the men in your life! Although it would work equally well for the ladies too.
I have another commissioned card to share with you this week, and I thought it was a great excuse to break out my Forever Young set, which I am ashamed to say had not seen ink yet?!

I went for the distressed feel with this card, and pulled out my spritzing tool, and tore away the edges.

I can't wait to see what you come up with for these colours, don't you just love what the rest of the DT came up with? Don't forget to give them some love, we all love hearing your comments!

Hope to see you over at the challenge, xx

Simply Stampin' Sketch Week

Good Morning,

Last weeks 'To DIE For' challenge at Simply Stampin' had everyone pulling out there dies to make some fabulous cards, and we're hoping that this week you will be joining us once again as we challenge you with a sketch.

I had been asked to make a birthday card for a little boy who will be turning 2 soon who loves animals. So I have used this sketch to make a card for him using my Fox and Friends stamp set.

I need to apologise for the poor photo quality, the weather has not been great this week, the colours are much brighter in real life, honest! I went for a combo of Daffodil Delight, Island Indigo and Lucky Limeade. I have embossed the Daffodil background layer with my Polka Dots embossing folder, and set to work stamping my panels.

Myself and the girls over at Simply Stampin' would love to see how you get on with the sketch, so pop over and give it ago! xx

Monster Bookmark.

Good morning,

I made this cute little book mark Sunday but have been waiting to be home early enough to get a good photo, luckily I have a couple of days off this week so I managed to take one this morning, however it is raining so it's still not a brilliant shot.

I got my boyfriend a book he had been hinting for for Christmas which he started reading before mummbling at me have you got a book mark. I knew I had some but when I bought out butterflies and hearts he turned his nose up. So I set about making him a more suitable bookmark for him to use.

He's really a big kid so I thought that my Make a Monster stamps would be perfect! I used these together which my Two Tags die and this is how it turned out.

I'm quite pleased and so was he when I mentioned that I'd added a googly eye!!

Hope to soon you back soon with some more goodies from my craft room, plus don't forget there is still time to enter into this weeks Simply Stampin' challenge, you could have a go at making one of these bookmarks and enter it.

Simply Stampin' To Die For.

Hello again,

This week over at Simply Stampin' we are asking you to get busy with your dies and create a card or project using them. At first I was stumped, I thought of a shaped card but I have done that before so I wanted to use my dies in a way I hadn't before.

I ended up using two dies, The Daisies Die and the Two Tags die to make a card and matching mini bag. The Daisies Die is great for making flowers with great depth.

You can see the dimension a little better on this photo, to make the flower you will need to cut 3 of the larger Daisy and 3 of the smallest Daisy, I shaped the larger petals in one direction and the smaller Daisy petals in the opposite direction, and inked the edges for more interest.

I can't wait to see what you make out of your dies, so get creating! xx

Happy SU! Birthday to me.

Good Morning,

Yesterday afternoon, I came home from a shopping trip with my mum to find an envelope waiting for me. I always get excited when I see a hand written envelope, it normally means a card, (yay!) and I wasn't disappointed. It was a card from my up-line in the Stampin' up family Amanda. Wishing me a happy birthday, I hadn't even realised but yesterday was exactly a year since I had received my started kit to become an SU! demo.

It's hard to believe that I have been blogging for a whole year! I love my blog, and creating projects to share. It's strange to think that someone around the other side of the world could be reading this!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend, xx

Simply Stampin' Colour Challenge

Happy Saturday,

This week over at Simply Stampin' it's colour time. I love this weeks colour's they are really spring fresh. I have used the colours to make a birthday card for my dear friend, her birthday isn't until the middle of the month but hopefully she'll be too busy to check out my blog, did I really just say that?!

I have taken inspiration for my card from a blog that I stalk regularly called Crafting Clare's Paper Moments she made this beautiful card which I have incorporated into my card design. I loved the musical notes paired with elegant florals!

So what do you think? Why don't you give this colour challenge a go? Don't worry if you don't have the exact colours, just use similar ones, as long as you use one SU! Stamp, patterned paper, or sentiment you will be eligible for a Top 3 spot. Can't wait to see you there!

Have a fab weekend, xx
